Windlestone Parish Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

What we're doing to improve accessibility
Windlestone Parish Council is reviewing the website against the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard.

As part of this work we are:

  • identifying and correcting accessibility issues across the website;

  • improving colour contrast where necessary;

  • reviewing links, buttons and other interactive elements;

  • reviewing page headings and content structure;

  • checking images and alternative text;

  • reviewing downloadable documents;

  • improving keyboard and assistive-technology accessibility; and

  • checking new and updated website content for accessibility.
     

We will continue to review the website and update this statement as accessibility improvements are made.

Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 21 August 2026.

The website was tested in August 2026 against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard.

Testing included automated accessibility testing and a review of website content and structure.

The website will be retested as accessibility improvements are completed.

This accessibility statement will be reviewed following significant changes to the website and at least annually.
